Comments: Worked on the Varco as a deckhand after finishing college during the summer of 1970, before teaching assignment, pushing Oil barges from Mobile, AL up many rivers to Cordova, Al and the asphalt refining plant.
Comments: As a wished to be river rat I TOTALLY enjoy your photo Galleries! Love these boats! LOVE THE RIVER! My dad worked for the USCOE Memphis District for MANY years up until last year (2018) when he Finally retired. Guess my love of the river and these boats comes quite naturally!
Comments: Love to see the boats. Worked on the river in 70’s and 80’s. Got married and changed my life. The MV Kevin Micheal is a really nice old boat. They should have kept the bow and stern awning like it was when it was the MV Mark Easton. Those old BIG BOATS with the awnings were very impressive and eye candy for some of us old river rats. Thanks for sharing your pictures

I would like to find pictures of the MV Illinois. It was formerly named Minnesota Husky. Suggestions?
