Comments: I started out as a deck hand on the MV Debbie Lee in 1973 when it was owned by M&M towing in Greenvile, MS. I worked my way up to be the pilot. Bob Barnes was the Captian.
Comments: Thank you so much for posting these 16 photos. I am a Vickers, my Aunt and Uncle were Juanita and Elmer Vickers, and I was raised playing in the shipyard and on these tugs. It was so nice seeing Aunt Nita's Tug. Thank you for keeping the History of all these tugs alive.

Comments: This is a wonderful resource. Thank you for maintaining it. I decked on most of the.Valley Line Towboats and am particularly fond of the Valley Transporter, Valley Voyager & the A.D Haynes II. My father was Chief Engineer on the Transporter for many years and as a 10 year old I would make a trip with him in the summers. I followed my father and eventually retired after a 50 year marine career.

Comments: late Spring of 1980 whilst travelling in a 19' Grumman square-stern canoe with outboard - on trek around the eastern US - - C.G.Willis Co. kindly offered us a ride (with canoe) from Brunswick, GA, to Philadelphia on the Captain C.G. - - the crew made us feel at home - - especially with the excellent Chesapeake Bay Breakfast of boiled cod and potatoes. They then made connections for us with another company to take us to Boston.
